Annual Jazz Masters Concert
The Baltimore Chamber Jazz Society is a non profit organization and is supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive.
WelcomeWelcome to the 18th Season of live jazz in Baltimore! Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane – these are the jazz pioneers who pushed the frontiers of musical time and space, melody and harmony into bebop and hard bop. This season, BCJS presents a series of jazz excursions with the sounds of James Spaulding, Billy Harper, Eric Alexander, Dave Liebman and Randy Brecker, Bruce Barth, Steve Wilson, and Ben Riley, hearkening back to the days of those jazz pioneers while still looking forward. And remember, the popular pre-concert gallery tours will once again be presented in conjunction with all five concerts. Pre-registration is required for all tours and space is limited. Please join us once again for this year’s Five at 5 and another season of incomparable jazz performances at The Baltimore Museum of Art.
